To say that french automakers like Peugeot, Renault and Citroën are rarely on a car enthusiasts radar is quite an understatement, but at FRANKFURT IAA 2011 MOTOR SHOW we did find a few rare gems that we felt deserved at least a small mention here in the blog.

Martin BILBILDER.SE Persson was particularly fascinated by the different concepts being shown, definately in the least something different for the eye to behold. We’ll leave it up to you to judge if they are interesting or non!

(This is in my opinion the ”sci-fi hipsters” wet dream, and Citroën did not stop at just keeping this bus-like concept just wild in itself, they actually had three young futuristicly dressed and face-painted individuals to accompany it while it spun around and around. Looks like their take on the future is that we will all look hideously bored, as we noticed they did just that with a passion; don’t ask me how you look ”passionately bored”- just look at these guys…)

(Whoooo! At least we found one real piece of gold here in the Peugeot section which was their Le Mans racecar that just looks so incredibly mean in person! Fun memory here is that it was among the first places we saw at the expo just after a really stacked BMW press-show. Rehersing our first unofficial ”100 seconds of…” segment and all reminds me of a lot of excitement!)

(At least Renault put a lively colour on their concept which actually looks quite good compared to a lot of other sportier SUV-type of vehicles on display in Frankfurt? Not digging the ”Dotz-style” wheels though although they do make up for their tacky look in sheer size.)

(Another piece from Renault stand which felt like a bit more realistic and not too far-fetched concept. Dig these wheels a lot better then their other concept, and the colour-combo isn’t too bad either. Nice to see some real stopping power in those huge front calipers too!)

Maybe not the gallery in SUPERIOR SELECTED that will make you rave to your friends about us, but we still hope you like getting a bit of everything from the FRANKFURT MOTOR SHOW. Iam sort of amazed Martin had time to shoot all these pictures and none of them really looks below average (understatement). Feel free to give the lad some well deserved critisizm! 🙂

Not stepping of the gas here, what was accomplished at the expo must come out so we can leave this incredible event behind us. More SELECTED gallerier later today and plenty of VIDEOCLIPS as well!

Time to get busy again with our ”100 seconds of…” clips (Find them all HERE) from the FRANKFURT IAA 2011 EXPO, this time with the most noble of all british brands- Aston Martin! We got most of the Zagato concept, some V12 Vantage and also a tiny bit of One-77 in a special colour!

Oddly enough, I feel quite dissapointed at myself for not spending more time in this part of the expo. Never made a secret of that Aston Martin is a brand I did pull a lot of inspiration from on my current 700+HP Toyota Soarer project. But, forget about that and enjoy among my usual confusing english some damn good automaking… 😉

How do you feel about the Zagato? Is it perfection in the making? And do you agree with that the colour of that One-77 could possibly be the worst one to pick for such an astounding car?

I really wish Harvey @ Epic Mealtime could do the intro for this mixed gallery of Suzuki, Kia, Mazda, Infiniti, Honda and Lexus since its got m0ar of everything we like  from the far east that was shown @ FRANKFURT IAA 2011 MOTORSHOW!

Since its hard to make SUPERIOR SELECTED galleries of each brand individually, Martin BILBILDER.SE Persson decided to shuffle it around a bit. I think it also makes for a quite more interesting read as well, so please comment on how you like it? 🙂

(I do hate to throw probably a lot of peoples hard work under the bus, but I have to do it times x2 this time. First of all, Mazda did not bring anything even remotely interesting for us to make in-depth coverage of; we were actually hoping to get some Furai at least. But seeing this CX-5 sports SUV or whatever those insanely watered out classes are called- it really put Subarus similar latest model to shame *will still forever remember it by its revelation which was similar to two socks being crossed and then pulled apart…*)

(This beautiful very ”catwalk-materialish” model actually summarized the whole attitude of the Infiniti stand quite well. Cold, a bit stale; but with some nice content despite that. I just feel that if likewise this lady would have shown a smile or twitch, and Infiniti themselves would have put more effort into ”loosening up” instead of keeping dark costume dressed goons (!)- they would have left more of an impression on us…)

(And keeping to Infiniti, here is a SUV which was a Sebastian Vettel edition with loads of damn nice carbonfibre to an often forgotten but highly desired car. What you see is what you get, nothing more then this to highlight and give a contrast to the clean exterior- I guess they tried to go ”german” in a stale boring way this time in Frankfurt?)

(Totally different story at Suzukis stand which offered the only juice/smoothie-bar of the expo! Me being a closet health freak when occasions to be one arise; never hesitated to ask for a shot of any of these colourful babies. More plus for having vibrant young girls that gave more then just good looks, as PIERRE BLOGS ABOUT HERE in swedish they also ”knew their” stuff on for example the new Suzuki Swift Sport coming out soon!)

(Time for you guys to pick this new Honda Civic 2012 apart a bit more then what our ”100 seconds of…” VIDEOCLIP did. I for sure disliked the rear part, but had some good vibrations of the front end which has to compete with the Mercedes CLS in most dramatic decrease from windshield and forward. Get what I mean? Post your opinion on the model that started it all in the US when it comes to ”JDM-tuning”…)

(Here is something odd, guess which automaker had a really talked about concept that stood out among many? Kia (!) with its bold and daring GT concept which they hope will spawn a cheap rear-wheel drive car in the future?! This one had a very luxorious feel to it, and if the gold arches around the pillars doesn’t tell the story then I doubt anything will.)

(There was some interest regarding the next generation of the Lexus GS and I think we can all safely say, this is basically a IS combined with a LS in terms of exterior looks. I think its sort of bland, and being an Toyota Aristo and Toyota Soarer owner myself I was quite fond of the previous generations front. But I doubt VIP-companies in Japan like Junction Produce will need much time to start giving the newest generation some love- and rest assured our hearts will follow to accept this generation of the GS as well…)

(Well well, have you observed the picture and come up with your own funny caption on why this girl appears so happy to see me? Don’t bother as its probably because it must have become quite obvious we used the Toyota ”café” setup in their stand as a station to catch our breath several times a day. Big thumbs up to them for this generosity to the press, but honestly it was the only thing besides the FT-86 concept we felt was interesting here. And oh, don’t miss the ”100 seconds of…” VIDEOCLIP of that one either!)

I just can’t help myself saying ”damn I miss Frankfurt” seeing all these pics again, it was on location in the eye of the storm impossible to comprehend how impressive the whole experience was- many many memories we were not awere of at the moment were created in every single minute of the two days we stayed there…

Suzuki var en monter som inte låg i mitt och Rani´s schema.
Men eftersom jag fortfarande ändå är intresserad och lite smått sugen på en Swift så ville jag ju se den nya Swift Sport.

Till att börja med så ska jag förklara hur hela Suzuki montern var.
För det första så fanns Suzuki i den absolut tråkigaste och stelaste hallen av dom alla.
Och där försökte Suzuki vara så… ”energifyfllda” som möjligt.

Det delades ut frukt smooties, Druvsockertabletter.
Alla som stod i montern var unga och snygga
Det spelades hög musik och dom som stod vid bilarna hade nog blivit ombedda att dansa lite då o då 🙂

Längst fram i montern så står där en fräck Swift uppe på ett podium vid en väldigt söt, väldigt närgången, väldigt trevligt och väldigt påläst montertjej.

Detta var en av dom 5 snyggaste tjejerna på mässan, Och till skillnad från alla andra så var inte hon bara ett pretty face utan hon kunde faktiskt svara på alla frågor vi hade om just den bilen.
Dom andra var hon inte påläst om men det gjorde inget.

Cool bil, Snyggt kjolpaket och striping..

Men.. Detta var inte Sporten..
Detta utförandet kallas för Xite,

Och vad jag förstod det som så finns det paketet bara i tyskland, Och kommer så småningom finnas på alla Suzuki modeller och inte bara Swiften.

Lite längre in i montern så stod där en vit Swift Sport snurrandes.

Men… Den var inte lika cool…
Visst.. Samma vinge som Xite fast här med bromljuset integrerat i vingen.

En annan front.. En hel front istället för ett kjolpaket.. Sportigare stolar. Men fortfarande såg Xite coolare ut.

Brevid Sporten så stod där en till sport.. Men som såg ännu coolare ut..

Jag frågade om skillnaden mellan dessa två men det sa dom först att det var båda en basic Sport…

Jag visade dom alla skillnader jag kunde lätt se med blotta ögat.. Och då kom det senare fram en äldre, skäggig gubbe som förklarade att detta var en Swift Sport men med ett extra kjolpaket.

Denna extra utrustade Sporten såg ut så som vi tyckte en vanlig Sport skulle se ut.
Men som vi vet nu så.. kaka på kaka på kaka.. Och sen blir en full utrustad Swift Sport jävligt dyr..

Priset på Swift  Sport startar på 14.000 Euro i Tyskland.

Say what? Did you mean the same automaker that is currently put out of business and ready to be shopped on a huge discount by some random group of Chinese people? I guess so, please dont take this clip too serious-  as we surely didn’t… 😉

The state of the whole ordeal with Saab is quite sad indeed, but we hope they will bounce back as a small ”nische” kind of brand somewhere. But if you can’t play with the big dogs of the upper middle class of the auto industry you can’t expect to be bailed out by the government. What do you guys think?

Yeah yeah.. Det enda som skiljer män ifrån pojkar är priset på deras leksaker. Eller vice versa.. Yada yada.

När jag och Rani kom till Lamborghini montern så var detta det första jag såg.

En riktigt cool modellbil utav nya Aventador i äkta kolfiber.

Just precis innan så hade jag beklagat mej till Rani om ”Fan vad italienarna försöker sälja merchandise”.

Men verklighetstrogna miniatyrer/modeller har jag alltid gillat..
Så givetvis blev jag impad över denna.. Och tänkte.. ”En sån skulle man haft.. Men den är väl säkert onödigt dyr” och gissade på ett pris runt 10.000kr kanske.

Rani hade bråttom till dom riktiga bilarna, Med all rätt.. Och sen.. Ja.. Sen så tänkte jag inte så mycket mer på den modellen (ordvits) kan jag säga…

Jag och Rani stod där och beundrade…. Montern… Länge..
Och under denna ca timmen vi stod där och stirrade så var där en väldigt spinkig gubbe som gick runt i montern utan presspass..

Lite senare så stod han och inspekterade den svarta Aventador som stod uppe i montern riiiktigt länge och noga.. I minsta detalj.. Allt medans ett helt filmteam följde honom..

Jag och Rani skrattade lite och undrade ”Vem fan e det? ”
Ne det var ingen Lamborghini-anställd designer.. Det visste jag..

Dagen efter så var vi där i montern igen.. Och gubben var kvar.. Då frågade Martin mej samma sak..
Men vi hade ingen aning om vem denna uppenbarligen V.I.P gubben var..

Och nu har jag fått svar på tal minst sagt..

Såhär ligger det till.

Gubben heter Robert Gülpen, Och han har gjort denna modellbilen.

Och ja.. Den var som gissat ”onödigt dyr”.

Denna 1:8 modell utav Lamborghini Aventador kommer bara göras i ett ex gissar jag.
Vilket ökar priset ytterligare givetvis..

Sen så var det då äkta kolfiber vilket jag kunde se direkt..
Men.. Där är också gulddetaljer.. Och fälgar i platina.. Och diamanter lite här och där…

Så ja.. Den är dyr..

Hur dyr är då denna ”leksaksmodell” av Aventador?

Ett par gånger dyrare än en bensindrivande Aventador i full storlek tyvärr…

Eftersom den bara ska göras i ett ex så kommer den att auktioneras ut.
Utgångspriset är 4.7 miljoner…….

Idag är det måndag och det efter en vecka som verkligen (än en gång!) var utan dess like i stress. Inte ofta man får ”klämma in” att ta emot en container samma vecka som man är på BILMÄSSAN I FRANKFURT faktiskt…

Blir lite lugnare nu, och vi kommer fokusera på att fortsätta mata ut material från Frankfurt och bit för bit göra de sista sakerna innan säsong 10/11 officiellt är avslutad…

Here comes a serious SUPERIOR SELECTED gallery from FRANKFURT IAA MOTORSHOW  2011 filled with Italian passion as strong as a cup of ristoretto: Automobili Lamborghini and all the raw energy they brought to the expo!

Going over all the things we loved at the expo makes it hard to keep all descriptions on a relative balanced level, but let me just explain that this stall truly was one of the showstoppers at the expo. Make sure you also watch the ”100 seconds of…” videoclip we did of their stall.

Extremely happy about that one so go watch it, but now lets see how Martin BILBILDER.SE Persson with free acces did his best to show why we are still in ecstasy talking about this part of our Frankfurt visit…

(Lets try and put this angle of the photo into perspective, and think about how many other journalists at this moment were watching Martins behind being in the way of that one perfect shot. The timing of this photo is superb, seeing the two large monitors had all sorts of crazy video going on apart from the wild bull logo…)

(Seeing two such contrasting colours on the Aventadors was very pleasant for the eyes. I know the typical choice would be the matte black one, but the white would not be totally crossed from the list as a complement if it was just  matter about Monopoly money. Where do you place your heart, white or black?)

(And here is the black Aventador with its devilish temporary owner (?). We played a little game of ”car or …?” and eventhough Christian Bale will drive this in the new Batman movie the choice was certainly not clear for all of the members in the Superior Team on location in Frankfurt…)

(*Obvious tagline* of that Lamborghini surely had our world spinning around. Funny thing is that among over 30 different clips me and Martin shot over two days, there was only one place which had us ”starstruck” enough to forget to put on the microphone the first time around. Ouch! Luckily the Italian gentleman just had a quick laugh about it an gave us acces to the stage one more time to shoot THE CLIP again.)

(And one from the rear of the Aventador giving you all you need about them. There was talks about Lambo bringing their ”Sesto elemento” car again just to make it official that they are going into production, but instead we were presented with…)

(…The Gallardo SuperTrofeo Stradale, which is the highest specified yet to come from them- very close to a racecar for the street. Rumors have it that they have done some tuning of the firing sequence on each cylinder, just to give it an even more unique sound in the exhaust. Not that a factory Gallardo is really that bad either…?)

(A rare (?) shot of the Lamborghini grid girls in a bit more casual outfits then usual, and in a very playful mood. These ladies were rightfully semi-worshipped at the expo, and several extra stops at their stall were made just to put a new smile on any tired mans face again. Martin also commented that they did take a flight home to Rome just opposite of their gate, so you normal visitors wont see them there sadly.)

Gotto say just the amount of memories Lamborghinis stall gave us made the trip worth it. But then we got a dozen more almost as good stalls to report from. Coming of the CADILLAC CONCEPT we did a video of, we got another impressive one from Mercedes that has ”luxury in the future” written all over it- so coming from one of the German giants it was a blockbuster indeed in FRANKFURT IAA 2011 EXPO!

I think the best line about this concept was used in the video, that even Lady Gaga would blend in and not look her usual crazy self if she sat in this car. Fun to see a brand very aiming towards more strict and ”business” sort of appeal make both this luxury concept and the A-klasse they also did so wild!

I was lucky enough to catch this beast in motion for a few seconds before I was drowned in the crowd that was present during Mercedes mega-pressrelease show, and if this is a hint of how the future might look Iam all for it– sign me up today!

Getting back on the wagon in showing you all the beautiful SUPERIOR SELECTED photographs we captured at FRANKFURT IAA 2011 MOTOR SHOW, a ”british special” with brands like Jaguar, Land Rover, Mini & Lotus to name a few!

Among these true gentleman of the car world we haven’t included Aston Martin, but thats because they will get a gallery of their own. But now lets just enjoy 16 splendid pictures by Martin BILBILDER.SE Persson to enjoy while you drink your old fashioned afternoon cup of earl grey tea!

(The new Lotus Evora GTE came down like a matte yellow thunderbolt and truly stood out in proud fashion with its endless amount of pornographicly hot (!?) carbon. Its not the most original conclusion to say matte is ”all the rage” right now, but picking yellow was a winning move to seperate from the rest in our opinion!)

(The most common question I got coming home was expected; ”what was the best car at the expo?”. You wont have much succes asking me this, but when it comes to the chap behind the camera of these photos- the answer is certain when it comes to one selection only… Jaguar C-X16! We did duel a bit about our first impressions since I was expecting it to be more low-key, but as the ”100 seconds of…” video will show- it won me over. Great concept!)

(The ladies in the Jaguar stand were as classy as the cars, not going to go ”Project: Runway” on ya’ll but its great to see women being… women and not just objects to showcase certain parts- often made of plastic…)

(One of the most confusing upcoming ”100 secs of…” clips will be the one with the new Mini Cooper Coupé which I could not… relate to. If you just have to make a coupé of something as firmly molded as a Mini try to make it a little bigger or wider? Or am I just being jelous of them being one of the recent years winners in being a really ”hip” brand or something? Quick mention of this being a ”John Works edition” which is a sportier pimped up sort of model. Got it?)

(One more really good one of the Lotus Evora GTE in all its glory, its a shame that the pricetag gets so damn high whenever you want to pass up to something like an Exige or something more exclusive then the base grade ones. If they are making a pitch to compete above a sort of ”gymkhana supercar” segment they’ll have to get up in size quite a lot on the cars themselves…)

(Land Rover toughened up from the other lads in this gallery, and you got two concepts from them at this expo. They are also a brand that are sort of trying to find themselves again since Range Rover is the ”younger brother in a suit” while the old school ”I can handle anything” sort of attitude isn’t enough to compete with dozens of cheaper brands that offer cars that do the same. A bit… ignorant to say, but honestly don’t have too many opinions about them. How about you?)

So thats a lot of love for the british automakers and a good mix for you to enjoy. We are taking our time here making these posts count, eventhough we are tempted to just splash them out on you all without any text. By ”genuine” I mean that it wasnt some posh attempt into pleasing everyone or trying to be something your brand is not, instead its what concepts is all about- giving some ”haute couture” of the most extreme things people relate to your brand; and also a bit of history put in it. We wish all automakers refused to follow trends and feel ashamed of their heritage, but maybe this is a unique case when it comes to Cadillac as a brand? We like it, bigtime…

They claim this car is ”two generations ahead” of its production cycle, but I would have to say that by looking at the exterior- its a bit too bold statement. Maybe it will live up to those words after a testdrive, but we were not too conviced by this first impression sadly…

We have no doubt about that all the different tuners in Japan vill still make this something interesting, but I guess we are still living in a world where we think about things from an enthusiasts perspective; but in reality automakers have to create cars that will sell to the general public.

ALFA ROMEO C4 CONCEPT WITH VERY HOT ITALIAN LADY!

We all know Alfa Romeo make beautiful cars, and we all know Frankfurt IAA is a real treat filled with beautiful women as well during the press days; but did we expect to be totally speechless about what they brought to the expo…? No, and I think it shows in the video as well.

DACIA DUSTER 850HP PIKES PEAK RACECAR!

One of the positive surprises of the expo was that Dacia brought a car which could compete for the ”highest HP” award. Athough far from its stock form, the ”Duster” which is a 850HP racecar to climb mountains like Pikes Peak, was a mean sight to behold.

As expected, nothing was more of a pain in the ass then to get clear acces to the worlds most (deservedly) posh brand Ferrari. If you liked the almost rude in eye-catching capabilities Cadillac concept, you will equally love what the German giant Mercedes brought with them to the expo. This Luxury concept oozes of science-fiction futuristic vibes and I doubt there is anyone that could match it in being 100% fabolous- not even Lady Gaga!

Another personal favourite now that we’ve had time to evaluate things, and I think the video made the concept some justice too- not going to win any awards for pure design… but as a concept and to demo what the Cadillac brand is all about; surely a winner!

A car they called ”ahead two generations” has a lot of hype to live up to, and we were not too impressed although we found some positive things to say about the front end of it. But could have been something ”more” right?

The brand new BMW M5 with its twin-turbo V8 engine did not dissapoint at all, in a way its more aggresive then ever- but still keeping us confused on how good they are still making it look so ”understated”. Check out the mental malfunction of combining Swedish with English to say ” B M W ” as well. 😉

Lamborghini was as expected quite a ”top dog” with their presence at Frankfurt, not is size; but in sheer candy for the visual sense. Make sure not to miss their special ”Lamborghini gridgirls” which this clip did capture some goodness of as well..

A very anticipated car and of the ”german giants” biggest releases at the expo. A car that is firmly sold with ephasis on the ”gull-wing” doors has lost them, and some unique for Mercedes misses in 100% quality. Strange?

One of my favorite cars now that the expo has kind of sunk in. Made some valid points on how added carbon goodness and all the other aggresive details finally made the R8 the supercar Audi wants to promote it as. You also get to see some of he interior of the very impressive hall they had built from scratch!

For all us big JDM-fans out there, this car had the most relevance to it as its almost being seen as a ”messiah” to rejuvinate our part of the car-world. Seeing it in person, lots of Lexus LFA but some remarks on the wheels and rear spoiler.

I doubt there is much to tell when it comes to Lamborghini as a brand, and what you can expect such a godlike institution in sex appeal to give us at an expo as huge as the FRANKFURT IAA MOTOR SHOW 2011.

We were (of different reasons) totally starstruck by their stall here, bringing 2x Aventadors and their ”final edition” (?) of the Gallardo; called Super Trofeo Stradale. Accompanying each of these three jaw-droppers were three equally (??) stunning signorinas which had plenty of the crew talking throughout the expo… 😉

Just sit back and relex, try to catch the details in this info- and please do notice the unmistaken smile on my face as it truly is turned up a notch or five-hundred as I did say in the video as well. Lamborghini, we love you!

Är fortfarande inte återhämtat det minsta lilla..

Men eftersom jag redan påbörjade ett inlägg efter första dagen på mässan, Så kan jag ju fortsätta på det.

Detta är egentligen del 2 utav detta inlägget.. Första delen handlar bara om kvinnor och gudinnor.. Men den delen får bli ett eget inlägg när jag har bilder att visa er.

Så jag klistrar in det hela.. Och sen redigerar och lägger till.
Så just keep in mind.. En del är skriven en extremt trött natt efter dag 1.. Och andra delen nu när jag är hemma.

Jag kör lite klassiska notiser lite här o där för att snabbare kunna återgå till mitt dagdrömmande och återhämtande istället.

Vi började morgonen med att gå vilse…

Så för att vara en sån SUPERSTOR och känd bilmässa så kunde jag och Rani tycka att det var lite dåligt organiserat.. Vi saknade liksom den där Tyska *censur* ”strukturen”.

Vi hittade ingen garderob att hänga av våra grejer i.. Så vi fick släpa på en jävla massa väskor allt för länge.. Tills jag ringde till Micke vid 2 tiden och han förklarade att det visst fanns en garderob…..
Så min dag 1 gick mestadels ut på att hålla och vakta väskor medans Rani fick jobba för oss båda på egen hand.

Lite ”direktiv” fick han av mej dock 😉

Vi la också märke till efter 9 timmar på fötterna att det fanns hela 53st ”press-taxi” som körde runt folket på detta STORA område..

Så visst.. Det var kanske inte så illa som vi först tyckte..

Men det var RIKTIGT dåligt med toaletter.., Hittade en lite gömd precis innan vi skulle hem som först.

Likaså med papperskorgar.
Inte för att jag behövde en, Men jag la bara märke till det.
Sist jag var på en bilmässa i tyskland så fanns det överallt.. Var 5e meter.
Men på den tiden så rökte dom också inomhus dom *censur*!

Nu röktes det för det mesta utomhus… Överallt.. Men där var även nån som rökte inomhus..

* Alla tyskar röker.. Som fan.
SHIT vad dom röker!

* Tyskland har RIKTIGT dålig luft.. Såpass att jag på fullaste allvar skulle vilja ha syrgas vid ett par tillfällen.

* Dom verkar inte ha AC någonstans i Tyskland.

* Vi är fortfarande amatörer.. Väskor med hjul.. Vilket geni-drag!

Tillbaka till mässan, När vi kommer in så var det väldigt tyst och stilla.. Öde..
Vi ser SuperSUVen Eterneti.. Jaha.. Ingen hemlighet att den bygger på Porsche inte..

Efter nästan en timme så ser vi vår första hall med bilar (Ni ANAR inte hur stort detta stället är!)

Där står 2st Fisker.

EN VÄLDIGT vacker bil.. Smart. Miljövänligt.. Tänk att ett tak med solpaneler är mer lockande än ett tak i kolfiber.
Det tillkom senare en 3e modell.. Och då som först så insåg jag att det var olika modeller.. Tyvärr tog jag inte mej tiden att se skillnaderna eller inspektera dom något närmre.

Jag kan inte förstå att vi inte sett mer av denna bil..Eller att jag som numera är så miljötänkande inte har brytt mej mer om den/dom..Inte ens när jag hade chans att klämma och känna på plats..
Den måste ju vara färdig att köpa vid detta laget. Jag har för mej att DiCaprio äger en..

En liten notis jag gjorde var att dom hade dessa små detaljer där ändrören brukar sitta.

Frågan är bara.. Behövs detta verkligen? Av vi bilfolket fortfarande så kåta på ”ett fett utblås” att man gör en fejkad variant på en elbil?
Visst jag kan mycket väl hålla med om att man saknar motorljudet/avgasljudet..

Men så som vissa concept gjort att man väljer att släppa ut avgaser ifrån hybridmotorerna via baklamporna är väl hur coolt som?

Då var det dags för vår allra första pressrealese! =)

Klockan var 9 och det var dags för Lotus att presentera nya versioner utav alla sina modeller.

Och vi varken hörde eller såg ett skit!
SÅ vi insåg rätt så snart där efter (Efter 3-4 försök till att medveka i en pressrealese) att det var bättre att göra som jag tänkt från början.
Att när alla andra är vid den monter där det presenteras nya bilar.. Ja då är vi vid en annan monter och jobbar.. Helst där det redan har presenterats nyheter.

Så den första monter/biltillverkare vi täckte ordentligt i lugn och ro var Techart.
(Eller ja lugn och ro vettifan.. Trångt med folk eftersom Lotus höll på med sin pressrealese i ryggen på oss.. Och vi kunde inte ens höra våra egna tankar. Men relativt lungt får man se det som)

Där hade dom en ännu extremare, snyggare, snabbare, lyxigare, dyrare version utav den nya 997 GT2 RS.

* Bilvärlden håller fortfarande fast vid den där med färgad ring på fälgarna alá Volk TA.

Vi jobbar vidare

* Brabus är BÄST!

På alla sätt och vis.. ALLA..
Vilken kvalité… Vilket skinn!

* Mansory var otippat rumsrena i år.
Nästan lite tråkiga montrar.. Hur det nu kan bli det med stylade månmiljonsbilar.

Jag har i många år sen jag såg den fösta Mansory stylade bilen haft stor kärlek för dessa bilar o kolfiber-uniformer.
Men på sista tiden har dom blivit lite tacky..

Men nu var kärleken tillbaka.
Alla bilarna var svart/vita (Som alla andra på hela mässan)
Matt vita och med en massa kolfiber.. Just i min smak.

Men.. Jag saknade en Aston Martin där.. Eller en Veyron..

Vi kan nu kanske ge er en riktigt tidig teaser..
Micke såg Horacio Pagani i och bakom Mansory montern..
Så… Mansory Huayra i framtiden?

* Audi hade byggt en mycket imponerande ”arena” utomhus där dom hade ALLT.

Men utanför denna ”arena” så stod förra årets konceptbilar.. Väldigt bortglömda.

Så vi kan nog glömma en ny Ur-Quattro verkar det som.

* Årets grej på nästan ALLA bilar, Koncept eller färdiga bilar vad matt vitt eller matt svart.

* ALLA konceptbilar hade ”självmordsdörrar” alá Rolls Royce… Alla..

Sist vi såg detta på en ”vanlig” bil var på den bortglömda Mazda RX-8.

Och det var den detalj jag gillar bäst (bara) på den bilen.

* Det är väldigt många som härmar den gamla Ferrari 360 looken.
Artegra, Alfa Romeo, Lotus

* Lancia ”300C” var precis som önskat.
Bra skinn.. Gedigen känsla, Originellt med obehandlat trä.

MYCKET bättre än Chrystler 300C.

* Alla bar Rolex, TAG Heuer eller Omega.
Jag såg en bära en Oris Prodiver..
En stor tysk.. Och jag har aldrig sett den klockan live på någon annan..
DAMN vad den är stor!
Och väldigt få la märke till min PVD Lefty.. Men dom som såg den stirrade ihjäl sej.

* Italienarna hade mest Merchandise, Utan tvekan.
Dom alla sätter sitt namn och logga på ALLT!

* Det tog ett tag för oss att fatta.
Men det bjöds på en hel del.
Drinkar, Kaffe osv, Lätt mat.

Och en massa freebies som USB minnen, Pennor osv osv.

Det kostade bara ett visitkort om ens det =)
Det blev lite av en grej för mej och Rani att gå runt enbart för att plocka freebies =)
Och att döma hur snåla dom var eller inte 😉

* VW hallen hade utan tvekan mest folk.
Men så befann vi oss också i Tyskland..

* Jag gick så mycket så att jag bokstavligen slet ut 2 par helt nya strumpor.. bra sådana.
Men när jag och Rani gick runt för att leta efter en lyxbil passande nog för att vila fötterna i så såg vi ett gäng handikappade i rullstol.
Då var vi JÄVLIGT tacksamma över våra svullna, svettiga fötter ens kunde vara ömma efter ha fått gå för mycket…..

* BMW som enskilt märke hade störst monter.
Åter igen.. Tyskland..
Audi och Mercedes var också STORA! såklart.

* Nissan var inte alls på plats.
* Infiniti var dom stelaste..
Tråkig stämning.. Tråkiga montertjejer (Men en riktigt snygg).
Riktigt stela Gestapo vakter klädda helt i svart.

So.. Thats about it.. Eller vad jag orkar komma med för tillfället iallafall.

Men det är svårt att vara snabb och effektiv när alla kuggar i detta urverk bor sprit runt i Sverige. Och alla behövs, Även dom som inte var på plats 😉

Jobbat trippel övertid idag sedan klockan 04.30, så lite mör som man brukar (men inför lossning glömmer att man kommer bli). Kan dela en teaserbild av det som vi ska jobba med under morgondagen:

Var enormt konstigt lastat denna gång, så det tog oss mycket längre tid än vanligt. Fick därför ingen riktig överblick över bilarna, men det tar vi igen imorn istället…

Usch så skitiga och ledsna bilarna ser ut, men vi ska få dom må bättre imorn som sagt! Nu blir det en öl med grabbarna, har insane mycket material från Frankfurt som ska ut imorn hela dagen. Vad sägs om minst 4st ”100 secs of…” klipp från mässan?! 😀

Trist nog trots en drös nya bilder från Martin Persson på två helgrymma amerikanska (Ford & Cadillac) koncept och dessutom en massa från Gatebil Rudskogen av Ronny @ JAMedia- så måste jag rulla vidare för att ta emot en container i Katrineholm!

A personal favorite at FRANKFURT 2012 IAA MOTOR SHOW which made its world debut at the expo, was the new 2012 BMW M5- dubbed F10 in generation name.

This beast in a perfectly cut for understated performance suit could become the best one yet. I particularly like the front end, but not quite sure all my raving of it are justified just seeing this video again. Take a look and see if you agree that the little more ”extended” lines pointing forward are seen are not- loved it anyway…

PS. Can you spot the obvious fails in my english saying the cars name? 😉

Finally the officially first SUPERIOR SELECTED gallery of many to come from the FRANKFURT IAA MOTORSHOW 2011 event. This is just scratching the surface of this humongous expo which if not the biggest then easily one of them!

(Starting out with heavy hands, we got this MANSORY deamon of a car for you. This Ferrari 458 Italia has got any carbon bit you could ask for, and for those who feel ”there is never too much of it” I dare to say this is a real dreamcar. They had several of the worlds premium vehichles at their stand and did everything in black and white which was quite sexy. But why do I get the feeling the JDM tuning-scene knew about the goodness of this like 10 years ago already…?)

(There were dozens of world premieres going on all the time, and we gave up after the third or fourth one eventhough some were quite a show to witness. This is from Subarus stand unveiling their new Subaru XV they call a ”compact SUV”. To be honest comparing this presentation with something the bigger brands had made it look quite… simple. But I’ll never forget Martins reenactment of it later on our hotel, with perfection capturing the moment by crossing two socks over a shoe… Oh you had to be there to get it.)

(We’ll have a lot more from the Aston Martin stand as well, which was somehow a dissapointment lacking totally in flair and cars just ”mashed in” together. How can you feel otherwise when I actually had to take my second lap of this place to spot the One-77 they had brought along? Since its one of my personal dreamcars I took a real close look and confirmed what I suspected; this car doesnt look nearly as much of a supercar on pics as in person. The lines are just ”too perfect” to understand how wide and mean it really is from just a picture. What do you feel about the colour?)

(There were plenty of good-looking women at the expo, and the common theme was that the classiest had Italian heritage. Naturally stands like Alfa Romeos were very popular to revisit during the day…)

(Just like you can imagine, the amount of ”design concepts” being shown was almost silly. Some were just plain unnecessary as if the ”if you dont have anything good to say, don’t say it at all”. Its afterall a matter of showing what the engineers in more playful and without boundries are coming up with within the brand, not a type of gimmick you must have at a large expo. With that being stated, how do you feel about this Chevrolet concept?)

(Although far from being a combination of an expo which also includes motorsport, Audi were busy showing their new Audi A5 DTM coming this season. Some brands brought their ”big dawgs” in different racing classes with them as well, but it was honestly far from a priority- and they were more or less treated less then ”icing on the cake”. This was actually outside of the huge built from scratch hall Audi had, proving that statement. More from inside there coming…!)

(Something we wont try and keep secret is that we really liked the Lamborghini stand at Frankfurt. A lot. Immensly even! Having two Aventador and the brand new limited edition Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale gave plenty to look at. I do know something the people did not like to look at was Martins back when we got a special moment inside the closed barriers surrounding it = you know we got gooood pics coming up.)

(The Superior Team which gives me a super occasion to individually thanking them one by one.
